Conditions of Use

Welcome to GoodGet Live. GoodGetLive, Inc., a Delaware corporation (“GoodGet”, “we”, “us”, and “our”) provides the goodgetlive.com website, the live shopping rooms hosted on it, and the related software and services (together, the “Service”) to you under the conditions on this page.

Please read these conditions carefully before you use the Service. By visiting goodgetlive.com, joining a live room, placing a bid, saving a payment method, or placing an order, you accept these conditions and our Privacy Notice. If you do not accept them, do not use the Service.

Some parts of the Service carry their own terms, such as the consent shown when you save a card and the totals shown at checkout. Where those terms conflict with these conditions, they govern that part of the Service.

PRIVACY

Please review our Privacy Notice. It also governs your use of the Service. It explains what the Service collects, such as the display name you use, the chat you send, the phone number you give us when you join our waitlist, and the records created when you place an order, and how we use and share that information. Questions about privacy go to privacy@goodgetlive.com.

ELECTRONIC COMMUNICATIONS

When you use the Service, join our waitlist, or place an order, you communicate with us electronically, and you agree to receive communications from us electronically. We may reach you at a phone number you give us, including by text message, at an email address you give us, and through notices posted on the Service. You agree that agreements, notices, disclosures, and other communications we deliver electronically satisfy any legal requirement that the communication be in writing.

COPYRIGHT

The content of the Service, including its text, graphics, logos, icons, images, audio, video, three-dimensional product models, the artwork and voices of our presenters, and the software that assembles them, belongs to GoodGet or its content suppliers and is protected by United States and international copyright law. The selection, arrangement, and compilation of that content is the exclusive property of GoodGet. You may not reproduce, distribute, or publicly display any of it except as these conditions allow.

TRADEMARKS

GoodGet, GoodGet Live, the GoodGet mark, and the names and likenesses of our presenters and live rooms are marks of GoodGet. You may not use them with any product or service that is not ours, in any way that could confuse customers, or in any way that disparages or discredits GoodGet. Other names, logos, and marks that appear on the Service, including the names of the products sold in live rooms and of the payment and video providers we work with, belong to their respective owners, who may or may not be affiliated with, connected to, or sponsored by GoodGet.

LICENSE AND ACCESS

Provided that you comply with these conditions, GoodGet grants you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use the Service for personal, non-commercial shopping. This license does not include any resale or commercial use of the Service or its content; any collection or use of product listings, descriptions, prices, bids, or chat for the benefit of anyone else; any derivative use of the Service or its content; or any use of data mining, robots, scrapers, or similar tools to gather or extract data from it. All rights not expressly granted to you in these conditions remain with GoodGet and its licensors.

You may not frame or enclose any part of the Service inside another site, hide our name or marks inside your own pages or code without our written consent, or record, capture, redistribute, or rebroadcast a live room or its presenter video. Any unauthorized use ends the permission and license we have granted you. We may suspend or end your access to the Service at any time and without notice if you misuse it.

YOUR ACCOUNT

The Service does not currently ask you to create a password-protected account. When you join a live room, the Service gives your browser an identifier and shows a display name for you, either one you have provided or a guest name. When you save a card, the Service sets a signed cookie in your browser that links that browser to your payment profile with our payment processor. Anyone who uses your browser or device can act as you, so you are responsible for keeping your device and browser secure and for every bid and order placed from them.

You must be at least 18 years old, or the age of majority where you live, to place a bid or an order. You may not use the Service if we have previously suspended your access. We reserve the right to refuse service, remove or edit content, cancel orders, and end sessions at our discretion, subject to the rights you have under applicable law.

REVIEWS, COMMENTS, COMMUNICATIONS, AND OTHER CONTENT

Live rooms let you post chat messages, send spoken messages that the Service turns into text, and appear under a display name, and you can send us questions, ideas, and feedback. Everything you post must be lawful and must not be obscene, harassing, defamatory, infringing, deceptive, invasive of anyone’s privacy, or harmful to anyone, and it must not carry malware, advertising, solicitation, political campaigning, or bulk or repeated messages. Do not use a display name that belongs to someone else or that suggests you speak for GoodGet, and do not misrepresent where your content comes from. We may remove or shorten content and limit how much you can post; today each message is capped at 400 characters and a room keeps only its most recent messages.

Unless we agree otherwise in writing, anything you post on the Service or send us comes with a non-exclusive, royalty-free, perpetual, irrevocable, worldwide, and fully sublicensable license for GoodGet to use, copy, adapt, publish, translate, distribute, and display it in any medium, together with the right to use the display name you posted it under. You represent that you own or control the rights to what you post, that it is accurate, and that it does not break these conditions or harm any person or entity, and you agree to indemnify GoodGet for claims that arise from it. We may monitor, edit, or remove activity and content, but we are not obliged to, and we take no responsibility for content posted by you or by anyone else.

AI PRESENTERS AND LIVE VIDEO

The presenters who host live rooms are AI-generated characters. Their faces, voices, and video are synthetic: a language model produces what they say, our video partners render them in real time, and they are not recordings of human sellers. A presenter speaks from the product facts and auction state the Service gives it, and nothing it says is a warranty, an offer, or a promise from GoodGet about a product; the product listing, the prices shown in the room, and the totals shown at checkout control. A presenter cannot start or end an auction, change a price, place a bid, or place an order for you.

Live rooms, including demonstration rooms, may include simulated activity such as viewers, chat messages, join notices, bids, and activity counts that the Service generates to show how a room works. Simulated activity is not a representation that a real person is present or has bid.

What you contribute to a live room is shown in the room. Your chat messages, spoken messages the Service converts to text, your bids, and your display name may be seen by other viewers of that room, and your chat and display name are shared with the presenter so that it can respond. The presenter runs on third-party language and video services; our Privacy Notice explains how that information is handled.

Live video sessions run for a limited time and may end or be interrupted. The auction clock in the room, not the presenter’s video, decides when bidding closes, and the end of a video session does not affect a bid you have already placed or an item you have won. You may watch presenter video in the room, but you may not record, capture, redistribute, or rebroadcast it, and you may not use it or any presenter’s likeness to train a model or to create derivative characters, except as the law expressly allows.

INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY COMPLAINTS

GoodGet takes the intellectual property rights of others seriously. If you believe that content on the Service, including a product listing, a presenter, or something another viewer posted, infringes a copyright, trademark, or other right that you hold, send us the notice described under Notice and Procedure for Making Claims of Intellectual Property Infringement below.

RISK OF LOSS

Every purchase of a physical item through the Service is made under a shipment contract, so the risk of loss and title for the item pass to you when we deliver it to the carrier.

RETURNS, REFUNDS AND TITLE

[PLACEHOLDER RETURN POLICY, TO BE CONFIRMED BEFORE LAUNCH] The Service does not yet include a returns or refund process. Until one exists, every sale is final, except where an item arrives damaged, defective, or materially different from its listing, and except where the law gives you a right to a return or refund that cannot be waived. To report a damaged, defective, or incorrect item, write to legal@goodgetlive.com within [NUMBER] days of delivery and include your order details.

If we accept a return, we do not take title to the returned item until it reaches us. At our discretion we may issue a refund without requiring a return; in that case you keep the item and its title. A refund, when we issue one, goes back to the payment method you used at checkout.

PRODUCT DESCRIPTIONS

GoodGet tries to describe the products in live rooms accurately. We do not warrant, however, that product descriptions, images, three-dimensional models, presenter remarks, ratings, reviews, purchase counts, or other content on the Service are accurate, complete, reliable, current, or free of errors. A three-dimensional model shown in a room may be a reference model rather than an exact copy of the item, and the ratings, reviews, and activity counts shown in a room may be illustrative. If an item you receive is not as described, your remedy is to return it, unused, as described under Returns, Refunds and Title.

PRICING

The price of an item in a live room is the current bid shown in the room, and the price of an item you win is the winning bid, less any discount the room applied to it when you won. Shipping, handling, and estimated tax are added at checkout and shown there before you place your order. Prices are stated and charged in United States dollars.

We verify the amount to charge on our servers: each item’s price is checked against our product catalog and may not exceed the retail price listed for it, and the total must match the total shown to you at checkout. If the total changes between the time it is shown to you and the time you place the order, the order is not placed and you are asked to review the new total. Retail prices shown for comparison are the listed prices in our catalog; they are not a representation of the price at which the item is sold elsewhere.

LIVE AUCTIONS, BIDS, AND WINNING

Each live room sells items by timed auction. When you place a bid, you make an offer to buy the item at that price, and you cannot withdraw or lower the bid while the auction runs. A bid must meet the minimum shown in the room, which is the current bid plus the room’s bid increment or, when there is no bid yet, the starting bid, and you cannot raise your own bid while you are the leading bidder. You are responsible for every bid placed from your browser or device, including bids placed by someone you allow to use it.

The auction clock and the current bid shown in the room control the auction. Bidding closes when the clock reaches zero; a late bid does not extend the clock, and a bid entered after the clock has run out is not accepted. When bidding closes, the highest bid wins. If two bids are for the same amount, the bid placed first wins. An auction that closes with no bids passes, and the item is not sold.

If you win, the item is added to your cart at the winning price, less any discount the room applied to it. Winning does not charge you. You are charged only when you place the order in checkout, and then for the winning price plus the shipping, handling, and estimated tax shown there. A card you have saved with us may be charged without you entering it again only for wins you authorize; today you authorize a charge by placing the order in checkout, and no charge is made automatically when an auction ends. You may remove a won item from your cart before you order it, and an item you have not ordered is not charged.

Your bids, wins, and cart are stored in your browser until you place an order, so clearing your browser data or switching to another browser or device before you order can remove a won item from your cart.

[PLACEHOLDER POLICY, TO BE CONFIRMED BEFORE LAUNCH] We may cancel an auction before it closes, and we may void a win, if a listing contained an error, the item is no longer available, a technical fault affected the room, or we believe the bidding was not genuine. If we void a win, or an item you ordered turns out to be unavailable, we will tell you, you owe nothing for that item, and any amount already charged for it will be refunded to the payment method you used.

APP PERMISSIONS

The Service runs in your web browser and can be added to your device’s home screen; it does not install a separate application. When you use hold-to-speak in a live room, your browser asks for permission to use your microphone. The Service uses your browser’s built-in speech recognition to turn what you say into text, and your browser may process that audio on your device or through your browser vendor’s speech service under that vendor’s terms; the Service itself does not record your audio or send it to us. The Service does not request access to your camera, your location, your contacts, or notifications. You can withdraw the microphone permission in your browser settings at any time.

SANCTIONS AND EXPORT POLICY

You may not use the Service if you are subject to sanctions imposed by the United States or to sanctions consistent with United States law imposed by the government of the country in which you use the Service. You must comply with all United States and other export and re-export restrictions that apply to items you buy through the Service. The Service currently accepts shipping addresses in the United States only.

OTHER BUSINESSES

Some items shown in live rooms may be supplied by businesses other than GoodGet, and the Service relies on other companies to provide parts of it, including payment processing and Apple Pay, address suggestions at checkout, the delivery of live video, and the language and video models behind our presenters. We are not responsible for examining or evaluating, and we do not warrant, the offerings, content, or practices of those businesses, and we do not assume responsibility or liability for their actions, products, or content. The Service may also link to other websites, which we do not control. You should carefully review the privacy statements and conditions of use of any other business or website before you deal with it.

DISCLAIMER OF WARRANTIES AND LIMITATION OF LIABILITY

WE PROVIDE THE SERVICE, ITS LIVE ROOMS AND PRESENTERS, AND EVERYTHING SOLD, SHOWN, OR MADE AVAILABLE THROUGH IT ON AN “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE” BASIS UNLESS WE STATE OTHERWISE IN WRITING. TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, GOODGET DISCLAIMS ALL WARRANTIES, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, TITLE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE SERVICE, ITS VIDEO STREAMS, ITS AUCTION CLOCKS, ITS SERVERS, OR THE MESSAGES SENT THROUGH IT WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, TIMELY, SECURE, OR FREE OF ERRORS, VIRUSES, OR OTHER HARMFUL COMPONENTS, OR THAT A PRESENTER’S STATEMENTS ARE ACCURATE. YOU USE THE SERVICE AT YOUR OWN RISK.

TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, GOODGET IS NOT LIABLE FOR DAMAGES OF ANY KIND THAT ARISE FROM YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE OR FROM ANY ITEM, CONTENT, OR SERVICE OBTAINED THROUGH IT, INCLUDING DIRECT, INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, PUNITIVE, AND CONSEQUENTIAL DAMAGES. THE LAWS OF SOME STATES DO NOT ALLOW LIMITS ON IMPLIED WARRANTIES OR THE EXCLUSION OR LIMITATION OF CERTAIN DAMAGES. IF THOSE LAWS APPLY TO YOU, SOME OR ALL OF THE DISCLAIMERS, EXCLUSIONS, AND LIMITATIONS ABOVE MAY NOT APPLY, AND YOU MAY HAVE ADDITIONAL RIGHTS.

DISPUTES

Any dispute or claim that relates in any way to your use of the Service, or to any item bought through it, will be decided by the state or federal courts located in [COUNTY], [STATE], and you and GoodGet each consent to the exclusive jurisdiction and venue of those courts and waive any right to a jury trial. Before you file a claim, please write to legal@goodgetlive.com so that we can try to resolve the matter informally. [CONFIRM WITH COUNSEL: whether to add a class-action waiver, a small-claims carve-out, or an arbitration program; this draft offers none.]

APPLICABLE LAW

By using the Service, you agree that the federal law of the United States and the law of the State of [STATE], without regard to its conflict-of-law rules, govern these Conditions of Use and any dispute of any kind that might arise between you and GoodGet.

SITE POLICIES, MODIFICATION, AND SEVERABILITY

Please review the other policies posted on the Service, such as our Privacy Notice and the notices shown when you save a card or place an order. They also govern your use of the Service. We may change the Service, our policies, and these Conditions of Use at any time. The version posted at https://goodgetlive.com/conditions-of-use when you use the Service applies to that use, and we update the date at the top of this page whenever we make a change. If any of these conditions is held to be invalid, void, or unenforceable for any reason, that condition is severable and does not affect the validity and enforceability of the remaining conditions.

Governing Language. These conditions are written in English. If we provide a translation, the English version controls if the two conflict.

OUR ADDRESS

Questions about these conditions, and any notice these conditions require you to give us, go to:

GoodGetLive, Inc., a Delaware corporation [STREET ADDRESS], [CITY, STATE ZIP]. https://goodgetlive.com/. Email: legal@goodgetlive.com.

ADDITIONAL GOODGET SOFTWARE TERMS

These terms apply, in addition to the rest of these conditions, to the software we make available for use with the Service, including the web application at goodgetlive.com, its home-screen installation, the code that runs in your browser, and any updates to them (the “GoodGet Software”).

Use of the GoodGet Software. You may use the GoodGet Software only for your personal, non-commercial use of the Service and only as these conditions allow. You may not sell, rent, lease, distribute, or sublicense it, and you may not use it to build a competing product or to reach the Service in a way its interface does not offer, such as by automating bids.

Use of Third Party Services. The GoodGet Software works with services that other companies provide, such as the payment pages hosted by our payment processor, Apple Pay, the speech recognition built into your browser, and the network that delivers live video. Your use of those services is subject to their providers’ terms and policies, which we do not control.

No Reverse Engineering. You may not copy, modify, reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble the GoodGet Software, or create derivative works from it, except to the extent the law expressly permits despite this restriction.

Updates. We may update the GoodGet Software at any time. Because it runs in your browser, you receive updates automatically when you load the Service, and we may stop supporting older browsers or devices without notice.

Government End Users. If you use the GoodGet Software on behalf of a United States government agency, it is commercial computer software and commercial computer software documentation, developed exclusively at private expense, and it is licensed to that agency with only the rights granted to all other users under these conditions.

Conflicts. If these software terms conflict with the rest of these conditions, these software terms govern the GoodGet Software. If they conflict with a written license that accompanies a particular piece of software, that license governs that software.

Agents. You may use an automated agent, assistant, or similar tool to interact with the Service only under the following rules.

Transparency and Consent. The tool must identify itself to us as automated when we ask, must act only with your informed consent, and must not present itself as a human viewer, place a bid you did not direct, or hide its activity from you.

Limitation on Access. We may limit, block, or challenge automated access to the Service, and we may treat bids, chat, and orders placed by a tool as yours. A tool may not gather product, price, bid, or chat data from the Service for any purpose other than serving you, and it may not bypass a rate limit or access control.

Technical Requirements. The Service needs a current browser with JavaScript, cookies, and local storage enabled, and a stable network connection; live video needs a connection fast enough for real-time streaming. Hold-to-speak needs a browser with speech recognition and a touch screen, and Apple Pay needs a device and browser that support it. We do not guarantee that the Service works with every device, browser, or network.

HOW TO SERVE A SUBPOENA OR OTHER LEGAL PROCESS

GoodGet accepts service of subpoenas and other legal process only by delivery to the address below, or as the law otherwise requires. Service through a live room, the checkout page, or any other part of the Service is not effective. [CONFIRM WITH COUNSEL: whether GoodGet accepts service by email, and whether a registered agent should be named here.]

GoodGetLive, Inc., a Delaware corporation Attn: Legal Department, [STREET ADDRESS], [CITY, STATE ZIP]. Email: legal@goodgetlive.com.

NOTICE AND PROCEDURE FOR MAKING CLAIMS OF INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY INFRINGEMENT

If you believe that your copyright, trademark, or other intellectual property right has been infringed by content on the Service, send a written notice to legal@goodgetlive.com or to the address under Our Address, with “Intellectual property claim” in the subject line, that includes:

  • a description of the copyrighted work, trademark, or other right that you believe has been infringed;
  • where the material you are complaining about appears on the Service, such as the live room, product, presenter, or message, with enough detail for us to find it;
  • your name, address, telephone number, and email address;
  • a statement that you have a good-faith belief that the use is not authorized by the rights owner, its agent, or the law;
  • a statement, made under penalty of perjury, that the information in your notice is accurate and that you are the rights owner or are authorized to act for the owner; and
  • your physical or electronic signature.

On receipt of a complete notice we may remove or disable access to the material while we review the claim, and we may forward your notice to the person who supplied the material. Knowingly making a false claim of infringement can expose you to liability. [CONFIRM WITH COUNSEL: registration of a designated agent with the United States Copyright Office and a counter-notice procedure.]

Privacy Notice

GoodGet runs live shopping rooms where a presenter sells to a crowd in real time, and running those rooms means handling some information about you. This Privacy Notice explains what GoodGet collects when you use the GoodGet website, the live rooms, the checkout, and any other service that links to this notice (together, the "GoodGet Services"), how we use and share it, and the choices you have. By using the GoodGet Services, you agree to the practices this notice describes.

What Personal Information About Customers Does GoodGet Collect?

We collect your personal information so we can run the live rooms, take your orders, and keep improving the GoodGet Services. It reaches us in three ways.

Information You Give Us: We receive and keep what you type, say, or submit while using the GoodGet Services: the phone number you enter to join the waitlist or sign in, the verified identity, available verified email address or phone number, and display name returned by your sign-in provider, the display name you use in a room, the messages and bids you send, the shipping address you type at checkout, and the card you save through our payment processor. You can choose not to give us some of this, but then some features, such as checkout, will not work. See Examples of Information Collected for a fuller list.

Automatic Information: Every browser sends technical details with each request, such as your IP address, browser type, and the page requested, so our servers and hosting provider receive them. Our hosting provider records requests under its own policies. For signed-in shoppers, our database records a stable account identifier, login sessions, login and logout times, product views and viewing duration, searches, saved products and categories, messages, bids, cart actions, and room controls. Payment records are associated with that account. Your browser also keeps room state and pending activity uploads as described in What About Cookies and Other Identifiers?.

Information from Other Sources: We receive limited information about you from the providers that act for us: our payment processor tells us the brand, last four digits, expiration date, and cardholder name of a card you saved and whether a charge succeeded; a mapping provider returns complete street addresses that match text you typed; and your browser's speech service returns the words it recognized while you held the talk button.

For What Purposes Does GoodGet Use Your Personal Information?

We use your personal information to run and improve the GoodGet Services. The purposes are:

Purchase and delivery of products and services. We use your information to take bids, record auction wins, process the payment you authorize at checkout, and keep a record of each order. Shipping details collected by Stripe are attached to the verified order record. [FULFILMENT: describe delivery, and the partners who receive an address, once shipping is built.]

Provide, troubleshoot, and improve GoodGet Services. We use your information to keep rooms running, find and fix problems, and make the GoodGet Services work better. We record first-party account activity in our database to understand product use and diagnose problems.

Recommendations and personalization. We remember preferences in your browser and store signed-in product views, viewing duration, searches, saves, messages, and shopping actions against your account. This history supports product recommendations and personalization; a recommendation service is not enabled by collecting it alone.

Provide voice, image and camera services. When you hold the talk button, your browser's own speech-recognition feature turns your voice into text. Where the browser supports it, that happens on your device; otherwise your browser sends the audio to its speech service. GoodGet never receives your audio, only the text, which we treat like a typed message. We do not offer image or camera features.

Comply with legal obligations. In some cases we collect and keep information to meet legal requirements, such as keeping payment and order records for as long as tax and accounting rules require.

Communicate with you. We use your information to talk with you through the GoodGet Services: the presenter answers your messages in the room, and the checkout shows you the outcome of an order. When you place an order, we generate an internal notification for our team that includes your display name, your recent messages in the room, the bids, the products, the amounts, and the payment reference; it is emailed to a GoodGet mailbox, not to you. We retain the verified email address from sign-in for account and transactional communication. This change does not enroll you in marketing or send you an email receipt. We keep the phone number you give the waitlist so we can tell you about the launch and about deals. When you request phone sign-in, Google Firebase sends a verification text. This does not subscribe you to marketing texts. We do not send marketing text messages today.

Advertising. We use your information to show you products and deals inside the GoodGet Services. We do not use your personal information for interest-based advertising, and we do not run third-party advertising on the site. See What About Advertising?.

Fraud Prevention and Credit Risks. We use payment and order information to prevent and detect fraud and abuse: our payment processor screens each charge under its own rules, and we reject order requests that replay or alter an earlier one. We do not evaluate your creditworthiness.

What About Cookies and Other Identifiers?

We use authentication and payment cookies and your browser's storage to run the room. Signed-in room activity is also sent to our database. We do not use advertising cookies or third-party advertising trackers. These include:

  • An encrypted, server-readable shopper-session cookie that identifies a recorded login session for up to eight hours; logging out revokes that session in our database. A payment session cookie, named payment-wallet-session, that our server sets after you save a card or pay with Apple Pay. It holds a signed reference to your record at our payment processor. For signed-in shoppers, the database binds that payment record to your account, so another browser can recover it after sign-in. Orders require a separate payment action. It is readable by our server only, not by scripts in the page, and it lasts up to one year.
  • Session storage, which your browser clears when you close the tab: a random viewer identifier, your display name, the shipping addresses you entered at checkout, and short-lived markers that return you to the room after checkout.
  • Local storage, which stays until you clear it: the state of the room in your browser, including your messages, bids, hearts, cart, and wins; the product categories you recently searched or saved; pending activity records that retry until our server acknowledges them; a flag that you have seen the swipe tip; and a lease that keeps the demo crowd running in only one tab.
  • A browser channel that keeps open tabs of the same room in step with each other. It never leaves your device.
  • If you used an earlier version of the site, we move entries from older storage names to the current ones and delete the old copies.

Because the GoodGet Services have no accounts, these identifiers are the only way we recognize a returning browser. Clearing your browser's cookies and site storage removes them; What Choices Do I Have? explains the effects.

Does GoodGet Share Your Personal Information?

We do not sell your personal information. We share it only as described here.

Transactions involving Third Parties: The GoodGet Services do not include third-party sellers or a marketplace today, so we do not pass your information to other sellers. We do not hand your information to a fulfilment or delivery partner today, and fulfilment integrations remain to be implemented.

Third-Party Service Providers: We rely on other companies to run parts of the GoodGet Services. They receive only the information needed for their job and may not use it for anything else:

  • AWS hosts the website and stores account profiles, verified contact information, sessions, activity history, waitlist entries, payment references, and order records.
  • Stripe collects and stores your card details, billing address, and name on its own pages, records your consent to save a card, screens payments, charges a payment you authorize at checkout, and processes Apple Pay. Card numbers never enter our systems.
  • LiveKit Cloud carries the presenter's live video and audio to your browser and your messages to our presenter agent. Your browser connects to LiveKit directly, so LiveKit sees your IP address.
  • OpenAI powers the presenter's understanding and speech. While a presenter is live, it receives your display name, your messages (typed or dictated), and the name of the leading bidder so the presenter can respond.
  • Anam and LemonSlice render the presenter's face and voice from the presenter's speech. They do not receive your messages or audio, although the presenter may say your display name aloud.
  • Google Firebase handles Google and phone sign-in. It receives the identity information needed to authenticate you. Phone numbers provided for authentication are sent to and stored by Google to prevent spam and abuse across Google services. Firebase reCAPTCHA checks help prevent automated sign-in abuse. We receive a verified user identifier and basic profile information; we do not receive access to your Gmail mailbox.
  • Google's Places service receives the street address text you type at checkout, with a short-lived session token, and returns matching addresses. Our key for that service stays on our server.
  • AWS's email service delivers our internal order notifications.
  • Vercel hosts a legacy copy of the site while we finish moving to AWS, and processes any request sent to that copy.

Business Transfers: If GoodGet or substantially all of its assets are acquired, or if we merge or reorganize, customer information is one of the assets that would transfer. The acquirer would take on the commitments in this notice unless you agree otherwise.

Protection of GoodGet and Others: We release information when we believe doing so is appropriate to comply with the law, to enforce our Conditions of Use and other agreements, or to protect the rights, property, or safety of GoodGet, our users, or others, including sharing with our payment processor to detect and prevent fraud. This never includes selling or renting personal information for commercial purposes in violation of this notice.

How Secure Is Information About Me?

We design the GoodGet Services with your security in mind:

  • goodgetlive.com is served over HTTPS, so traffic between your browser and our servers is encrypted.
  • Card numbers are entered on pages hosted by Stripe or through Apple Pay, and only Stripe holds them. Our systems keep a reference to your Stripe record and show you the brand, last four digits, expiration date, and cardholder name that Stripe sends back.
  • The payment session cookie is signed with a secret so it cannot be forged, and it is readable by our server only.
  • Keys for the services we use stay on our servers and are never sent to your browser.
  • Each order request carries a fingerprint that lets us reject replayed or altered requests.

No system is perfectly secure. Use a private device for checkout, and clear the browser's cookies and site storage when you leave a shared one.

What About Advertising?

Third-Party Advertisers and Links to Other Websites: The GoodGet Services may link to other websites, such as Stripe's pages during checkout. Those sites have their own privacy practices, which we do not control. GoodGet does not carry third-party advertisements.

Use of Third-Party Advertising Services: We do not use third-party advertising services, ad networks, or tracking pixels, and no advertising software loads when you use the GoodGet Services. If that changes, we will update this notice and give you the choices the law requires before it starts.

What Information Can I Access in My Account?

GoodGet supports accounts through Google and phone sign-in. Our database stores the verified identity and contact information provided at sign-in. What you can see within the GoodGet Services:

  • Checkout shows the card you saved (brand, last four digits, expiration date, and cardholder name) and the shipping addresses you entered in this session.
  • The room shows the display name you are using, along with your messages, bids, cart, and wins from your browser's storage.
  • The checkout shows the result of each order you place.

For a copy of the information we hold about you on our servers, write to privacy@goodgetlive.com. Information You Can Access in the examples section lists what that covers.

What Choices Do I Have?

  • You can use the GoodGet Services without joining the waitlist, without saving a card, and without holding the talk button; typing works wherever voice does.
  • The talk button listens only while you hold it. You can deny the microphone permission in your browser and type instead.
  • Your display name is generated for you unless the link you opened carried one, and the room does not currently offer a way to change it.
  • You can clear the payment session cookie and the site's storage in your browser settings. Doing so clears browser state and any activity that has not yet uploaded; it does not delete server records. Signing in again restores the association with your saved payment account. Your browser can also block storage, but rooms and checkout will not work without it.
  • To remove your phone number from the waitlist, email privacy@goodgetlive.com with the number.
  • To delete the card you saved and the related Stripe record, email privacy@goodgetlive.com. We will remove it, and Stripe keeps what its own legal obligations require.
  • To request a copy or deletion of the account, session, activity, and order records we keep about you, email privacy@goodgetlive.com. We answer within 45 days of verifying who you are, and if we need longer we will tell you why and take at most a further 45 days.
  • We do not send text messages today. If we start, every message will include a way to opt out.

How long we keep information: We keep personal information only as long as needed for the purposes above or as the law requires. Waitlist numbers have no automatic expiry, so they stay until you ask us to remove them. Order records carry an expiry of 400 days, and our database is set to delete them once it passes. Stripe keeps payment records under its own obligations. Account profiles, session records, and activity history currently have no automatic expiry; session access expires separately from record retention. Browser copies remain until you clear them.

Are Children Allowed to Use GoodGet Services?

The GoodGet Services are for adults. You must be at least 18 years old to bid, buy, or join the waitlist, and the GoodGet Services are not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 13. If you believe a child has given us information, email privacy@goodgetlive.com and we will delete it.

International Transfers

GoodGet operates from the United States, and we process and store personal information there, including the waitlist, the order records, and the records our service providers keep for us. Some providers may process information in other countries under their agreements with us. GoodGet does not participate in the EU-US Data Privacy Framework, the UK Extension to it, or the Swiss-US Data Privacy Framework. If you use the GoodGet Services from outside the United States, you understand that your information is transferred to and handled in the United States, where privacy laws may differ from those where you live.

Our business changes, and this notice will change with it. Check the website often for the latest version; the "Last updated" date at the top tells you when it last changed. Unless we say otherwise, the current notice applies to all information we hold about you and your use of the GoodGet Services. We stand by the promises in this notice: we will not materially weaken the protection of information collected in the past without the consent of the people it concerns.

Examples of Information Collected

Information You Give Us When You Use GoodGet Services

You give us information when you:

  • join the waitlist on our home page;
  • open a live room and take part under a display name;
  • send a message in the room, by typing or by holding the talk button;
  • place a bid, tap a heart, or add a product to your cart;
  • win an auction and place the order;
  • type a shipping address at checkout;
  • save a card on the payment page hosted by Stripe, or pay with Apple Pay;
  • write to us at privacy@goodgetlive.com.

Through those actions you may give us information such as:

  • your mobile phone number;
  • your display name;
  • the text of your messages and the words your browser transcribed from your voice;
  • the products you bid on, the amounts, and the times;
  • the amount you agreed to pay for a win and your authorization to charge the saved card;
  • your shipping name and address, collected by Stripe and stored with verified orders;
  • the card brand, last four digits, expiration date, and cardholder name that Stripe reports back after you save a card (your card number and billing address stay with Stripe);
  • the email address you write to us from, and the content of the message.

Automatic Information

Examples of information our systems and providers receive automatically:

  • the IP address, browser type, and requested page that every browser sends with a request, received by our hosting provider and kept under its policies rather than ours;
  • a stable account identifier for signed-in shopping, a random per-tab identifier for room synchronization, and a separate random identity our server issues for the live video connection;
  • the room, product, and timing details that accompany each bid and message, such as which room you were in and when you sent them;
  • the order record we keep after a win, which includes Stripe's references for your record, saved card, and payment, the products and amounts, your display name and viewer identifier, the room, how long you had been in it, your recent messages there, and the bids;
  • the technical result of each payment, such as whether it succeeded.

Information from Other Sources

Examples of information we receive from others:

  • the card summary (brand, last four digits, expiration date, and cardholder name) and payment outcomes that Stripe returns;
  • complete street addresses that Google returns for the text you typed;
  • the transcript your browser's speech service returns for what you said.

Information You Can Access

Examples of information you can see in the GoodGet Services or ask us for:

  • the card summary shown in checkout;
  • the shipping addresses you entered in this session;
  • your display name and the room history in your browser (messages, bids, hearts, cart, and wins);
  • the result of each order you place;
  • on request to privacy@goodgetlive.com, the account, session, activity, waitlist, and order records we hold about you.

State Privacy Disclosures

If you live in a state with a comprehensive privacy law, including California, Colorado, Connecticut, Texas, Utah, and Virginia, you have the rights set out here. This section adds to the rest of this notice rather than replacing it, and the categories below use the vocabulary those laws use.

Categories we collect. Identifiers, such as the phone number you give the waitlist, the email address you write to us from, the display name you choose, the random viewer identifier your browser creates, and the reference our payment processor holds for you. Commercial information, such as the products you bid on, your bids, your cart, and your orders. Internet and network activity, such as your messages in a room and the technical details every browser sends with a request. Financial information limited to the card brand, last four digits, expiration date, and cardholder name our payment processor reports back. Audio-derived information limited to the text your browser transcribes from your voice.

Sensitive personal information. We do not collect it. We hold no government identifier, no precise location, no account password, and no complete payment card number or security code, because your card details are entered on our payment processor's own pages.

Sources. You, when you type, speak, or submit something. Your browser, which sends technical details and runs the speech recognition. Our service providers, which return the card summary, matching street addresses, and payment outcomes described in What Personal Information About Customers Does GoodGet Collect?.

Purposes. The purposes listed in For What Purposes Does GoodGet Use Your Personal Information?, which are running the live rooms, taking and delivering orders, keeping the GoodGet Services working, remembering your preferences, meeting legal obligations, communicating with you, and preventing fraud.

Recipients. The service providers named in Does GoodGet Share Your Personal Information?, each of which may use the information only to do its job for us, together with the recipients described there for legal process and business transfers.

Retention. The periods in What Choices Do I Have?. Order records carry a 400-day expiry; account, session, activity, and waitlist records currently have no automatic expiry; browser records remain until cleared.

Sale and sharing. We do not sell personal information and we do not share it for cross-context behavioral advertising, and we have not done either. We use first-party activity records to operate and improve the service and do not use them for cross-context advertising.

Your rights. Subject to your state's law, you may ask us to:

  • tell you what personal information we hold about you and where it came from;
  • give you a copy of it, in a portable form where the law requires one;
  • correct it if it is wrong;
  • delete it;
  • stop selling or sharing it, which we do not do in the first place.

How to exercise them. Email privacy@goodgetlive.com from the address you want us to reply to, and include the phone number or order details that let us find your records. We verify a request by matching it against what we already hold, and we ask for nothing beyond that. An authorized agent may act for you if you give them written permission we can check. We answer within 45 days, and if we need longer we tell you why and take at most a further 45 days. If we refuse, you may reply to the same address to appeal, and we will tell you the outcome and how to complain to your state's attorney general.

No discrimination. We will not deny you the GoodGet Services, change what you pay, or give you a worse experience because you exercised a right.

[COUNSEL REVIEW: confirm this section against each state law you are subject to before launch, including whether any waitlist offer counts as a financial incentive that needs its own notice.]
